One of the best things about traveling is trying exciting new cuisine, and dining at Ka’ana is just one of the many ways you can immerse yourself in the authentic experience of Belize. The food we serve reflects the intermingling of the many cultures that call Belize home, as well as international flavors for the discerning palates. So sit down and enjoy a culinary adventure with the genuinely friendly people that make Ka’ana so special.
Our recipes start with the freshest ingredients – most of which are grown right here onsite in our organic garden. Some stem from ancient traditions and are as diverse as they are delightfully delicious. We went around and asked a few staff members about their favourite item on the menu and here’s what they had to say:

“I absolutely recommend the chicken or shrimp tahini wrap – apart from the fresh seafood, what I love the most is the fresh vegetables in it. Maybe it’s because I actually see it growing in the garden and know the hard work that goes into getting it on my plate – but it really is delicious.”

“I must say that our Seafood Sere Soup is my absolute favorite. First of all because I really do love seafood and also because this soup is based on a recipe from the Garifuna culture which is a part of my heritage.”

Jose and Kevin were both excited when we asked them if they had a favorite – and of course they both did. Their favorite however, was not to eat, it was to prepare! They both expressed a love for cooking food that’s outside their comfort zone. Jose loves to prepare our delectable steak dishes like double cut pork chops and lamb shanks. Kevin loves that the short ribs are prepared with a Belizean flair and marinated in his favorite Belikin stout.
