Ka’ana
Mayan for Heavenly Place.
Balam Room
Balam is Mayan for Jaguar. The Mayans believed that the jaguar facilitated communication between the living and the dead and also protected the royal families. The Maya saw these powerful felines as their companions in the spiritual world, and kings were typically given a royal name incorporating the word jaguar. Mayan legend believed that Balams came in the evening to protect the villages.
Casitas
Casita is the Spanish name for a small house. The casitas offer luxurious and spacious living areas, large bathrooms, private porches and the tranquil feeling of being in a heavenly home.
Both room categories offer the following added amenities: Flat screen TV, iPod docking station, wireless internet access, mini-bar and espresso maker.
Payment and Rate Policy
- Rates above are quoted in US$ dollars and are subject to a 10% service charge and 9% hotel tax.
- Rates are based on single or double occupancy.
- Children 12 and under are free when sharing room with parent using existing bedding.
- Fee for extra person over 12yrs sharing room is US$75.00 a night plus tax and service.
- Ka’ana requires a two night deposit to confirm reservation.
- Final payment is due in full 60 days prior to arrival.
- In high season, a minimum stay of two nights is required.
- For peak dates, Ka’ana requires a minimum stay of four nights. 50% deposit at the time of confirmation and final payment due by Oct 1st.
Cancellation Policy
- Should one decide to cancel, a minimum of 60 days notice is required prior to arrival for a full refund, minus a US$100 administrative fee. 50% refunds will be granted for cancellations 45-59 days prior to arrival. All cancellations 44 days or less prior to arrival are non-refundable.
- For Peak dates, cancellations received after October 1st are non refundable.
Transfers
- Private transfers can be arranged to or from the various locations to Ka’ana Resort. Transfer rates are valid for one to four passengers.

Packages
- Ka'ana operates seasonal packages.
- No packages are available during peak season dates.
