Covid Health And Safety Protocol

We wish to emphasize our efforts to provide you with a safe and clean environment as you begin to relax and enjoy your stay with us. With the Belize Tourism Board's guidance, we have made all necessary efforts to prepare ourselves for your visit.

Ka'ana has undergone vigorous changes and requirements to become Gold Standard Certified. This has helped us open our doors with all intentions of being consistently clean, sanitized, and safe for all our guests and employees.

Cleaning

We want to add that certain cleaning and sanitation schedules and a few room amenities have had to change to facilitate your safety, with a little compromise on comfort and service standards. We would like to ask you to assist us in our operating guidelines of sanitation and social distancing practices. Sanitation stations have been placed in a specific area of our property. Guest's log sheets will be administered accordingly.

Testing

At Ka'ana, your health and safety are our sole responsibility as we continue to monitor the global developments of covid-19. Now effective, Ka'ana Resort will offer on-site antigen tests for your Belize travel requirements. It is useful and suggested for anyone traveling, regardless of the destination.

Medical professionals will conduct the testing in partnership with local laboratories. The antigen tests are available to all of our registered guests returning to any country who need a covid test before boarding their flight. Before departure, the test can be scheduled through our concierge for 48 hours.

US$95 (plus taxes) per antigen test. Payments are accepted by cash or credit card.
If you receive the results sooner, the standard turnaround for this service will be up to 40 minutes.
If a positive test occurs during check-in and check-out, we will offer guests a quarantine stay at a nightly rate of US $95/night (plus taxes).
We want to make sure your travel is seamless and that you need the full Ka'ana experience from the moment you arrive and depart from our destination.

Effective from March 1, 2022, fully vaccinated travelers no longer need a negative test but must present vaccination proof for entry into Belize's airport, land borders, or seaports. If the unable to submit the proof or if unvaccinated, the traveler must show a negative PCR result proof taken within 72 hours of arrival or a negative Antigen Rapid test done within 48 hours of your arrival. A test will be administered by the Ministry responsible for health at the airport.
