10 Days Until We Reopen, 10 Things To Look Forward To

As a celebrated boutique resort nestled in the heart of Belizean  jungles, Ka'ana is thrilled to extend an invitation to our reopening after an interim closure. We have taken time to improve and perfect every aspect of our guests' stay. From our accommodations to cuisine, our staff has diligently worked to curate a culture of class, luxury and safety. The health and safety of our guests and staff is of greatest importance, which is why we are proud to be certified as a Gold Standard resort.

We are delighted to welcome guests back to our jungle haven on December 10th. With 10 days remaining until then, here are 10 things to look forward to!

Renewed and Refreshed Accommodations

Our villas and suites have been intentionally designed to bring to life the richness of the natural environment. Each room is Belizean chic, pairing modern comforts with Belizean textiles, with unique local art adorning each room. Our accommodations were designed as a home away from home, and with recent renovations are now completely renewed!

Our Pool

The main pool is endearingly referred to as an oasis in the jungle. Whether you're taking a dip, resting and relaxing while working on a tan, or in need of a relaxing atmosphere to unwind and read a book, this is just the spot! Enjoy the refreshing waters of our pool after a long day adventuring.

Gourmet holiday meals will be served from our specialty Christmas menu, available for the entire week. Eat, drink, be merry, and enjoy the rest of the special activities we have planned for your Ka'ana Christmas! When it's time to bring in the New Year, join us for a classy cocktail hour with live music, followed by a special New Year's Eve dinner menu. The Festive Program

Maya Cooking Class

Rest assured, this culture has not been buried along with the temple ruins! The Mayan culture, ancient and mysterious as it is, is very much alive and thriving in Belize! In our cooking class, learn the rich thousand-year-old culinary secrets of Maya cuisine. Classic Maya recipes are taught and served, such as corn tortillas, tamales and caldo, all on a recreated Maya kitchen with a traditional stove.

Mixology Classes

An evening of fun, mixing, and laughing are guaranteed with our mixology class! Our mixologists are passionate about the art of mixology, and can't wait to share it with you! Before each class a tour is given of our organic gardens. Something that sets our drinks apart from other watering holes is that fresh ingredients from our gardens are used in our cocktails and infused beverages. Our bartenders are more than accommodating for those desiring to make mocktails. After each class there is a test, a taste test that is! There is no better way to end the day than to enjoy the fruits of one's labor.

Private Tours

For adventurers of all kinds, we have a variety of private tours available. Whether one is seeking thrill, knowledge, or relaxation, we have it all! Horseback riding, sunset views, picnic at a waterfall, Mayan ruins,  bird watching — the list goes on! Each tour is privately guided by one of our adventure specialists. Our adventure specialists are a fountain of knowledge and are excited to take guests on a journey through paradise.

Spa: Maya Abdominal Massage

At Ka'ana, we know that rest and relaxation is not only physical, but deeply spiritual as well. We offer all natural and organic products, as well as natural and holistic treatments — our signature treatment being our Mayan abdominal massage. Experience mysterious healing techniques passed down by ancient shamans, midwives, and healers. This treatment is non-invasive and aids in relieving congestion and blockage as it improves lymphatic and nervous systems.

Organic Garden

We have a deep seeded love for both cuisine and sustainability. This is why we have carefully curated two acres of organic gardens with our own produce. Along with organic vegetables, fruits, and fresh grown herbs, you'll also find laying hens  and our friendly family of sheep! We believe in local food, and you can't get more local than homegrown. Our organic produce inspires our chefs and provides our guests with the freshest ingredients possible.

Weddings at the Maya Ruins

Ka'ana is committed to making your wedding day dreams come true — whether it's with friends and family or an intimate exchange of vows. Belize is the only country in the world that allows for wedding ceremonies atop the Maya ruins!  This location makes any destination wedding  an occasion for the ages. There are also various options for locale on-site as well.

Yoga

We provide complimentary yoga classes perfect for the novice yogi and the yoga enthusiast! The combination of movement and mindfulness while being immersed in jungle nature is truly a soulful experience. Guests also have the option to book private classes if they prefer. With a number of beautiful environments to choose from,  each class is refreshing and invigorating.

Pack with a Purpose

This initiative was spearheaded by our staff when they saw the need at their nearby Holy Cross School in Calla Creek. When our guests caught wind of what they were doing, they jumped on board. Now we have joined Pack with a Purpose, and a number of new initiatives have come from this program. Guests support the local school with the extra space in their suitcase by simply bringing in items suggested on the Pack with a Purpose site

There are 10 top things to look forward to, and much more awaiting at Ka'ana.  Adventure, culture, rest and relaxation beckon! Start planning your holiday getaway today.
