The Ka'ana family is head over heels in love with a particular guest. Of course, every guest is dear to us, but Faline is truly something special.
You see, Faline is the sweetest dog on this side of the Caribbean. This adorable pup was rescued from a life-threatening situation and brought to Ka'ana for fostering through our partnership with the Cayo Animal Welfare Society. While we don't usually accept pets, our hearts melted for this cute face and we made an exception.
This charming girl has the entire Ka'ana crew fawning over her day and night, including being spoiled by our kitchen staff, and absolutely loves running around the lush green grounds of the resort. And the best part? She's up for adoption! While it will be hard to say goodbye, we can't wait to help her find her forever home. If you're interested in adopting dear Faline, head to the CAWS Facebook page to learn more and apply now!
We've been lucky to foster numerous pets from CAWS until they find their perfect family. We also work with the shelter in visiting some local schools to help educate young children about the importance of caring for animals. It's one of the many ways we love to give back to our community.
And you can be a part of it!
Earlier this year, we launched a partnership with Kind Traveler, the first socially conscious “give and get” hotel booking platform. Kind Traveler empowers travelers to not just book a hotel, but to be a force of good by having the booker additionally donate $10 or more to a charity that will benefit the community they are staying in. So head on over to our friends at Kind Traveler to book your next luxury getaway and do some good while you're at it!
For our local community, we also give all CAWS members discounts at Ka'ana to say thank you for supporting this great cause. You'll receive:
Who knows what furry friends you'll run in to on your next journey to our sunny resort? Our grounds are home to over 60 chickens, two sheep, two guard dogs, the large iguanas who like to hang around the poolside and pose for your Instagram photos, toucans in the treetops, 30 different kinds of birds and much more.
We can't wait for you to meet them!
